Nita and Isha Ambani Hang Out with Chef Vikas Khanna at Bungalow in NYC

Nita Ambani, renowned philanthropist and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation recently took New York City by storm with her daughter Isha Ambani as they enjoyed an exclusive evening at celebrity chef Vikas Khanna’s acclaimed restaurant Bungalow. This intimate hangout was not just about food but a beautiful cultural exchange that set the tone for the much-anticipated NMACC India Weekend in NYC.

An Evening of Culture Cuisine and Simplicity

Far from their usual glittering red-carpet appearances the Ambani women drew attention for their understated yet sophisticated style. Nita Ambani looked radiant in a pastel green satin co-ord set adorned with subtle floral patterns accessorized with diamond studs and a statement watch. Isha Ambani opted for a contemporary look sporting a fitted monochrome striped top paired with light blue jeans and green-and-black ballerina flats. Both kept their makeup minimal, exuding a natural dewy glow that fans adored.

The mother-daughter duo were welcomed at Bungalow a restaurant that offers a nostalgic Indian clubhouse experience with a floral shower and live dance performance. The heartfelt reception included Nita Ambani being invited to join the performers for a brief classical dance, a nod to her well-known love for cultural arts.

A Feast Celebrating India

The purpose of the visit was to collaborate on a special menu curated for the upcoming NMACC India Weekend scheduled from September 12-14 at the iconic Lincoln Center. Nita Isha and even young granddaughter Aadiya sampled dishes meticulously prepared by Chef Vikas Khanna including innovative treats like caramelized pineapple-filled pani puri which Nita described as “delicious.” The culinary experience will be at the heart of the event spotlighting the richness of Indian flavors through modern techniques and elegant presentation.

Vikas Khanna’s Touch of Nostalgia

Chef Vikas Khanna known for putting Indian cuisine on the global map shared a personal moment recalling how Mrs. Ambani’s vision for representing Indian heritage resonated deeply with him and reflected the responsibility to honor traditions and ancestors. The Bungalow staff used six varieties of roses and Gangajal (holy water) for the Ambanis’ welcome a detail that celebrated Indian customs with warmth and pride.
